MAINTENANCE and SECURITY
Website maintenance falls into two categories:
- Content edits and updates
- Security and site software upgrades
Content Edits and Updates
Adding content to your website on a regular basis is important for SEO. It tells your returning visitors and more importantly, Google, that the website is up to date. How and why you should be doing this has been a regular feature on our blog if you’d like a little more detail.
We’re more than happy to hand over account credentials to you on completion so that you can manage this yourself … we’ll even spend and hour or so going through the basics of this with you. However, for many of our clients we provide ongoing content maintenance either on an ad-hoc pay as you go basis or a discounted upfront payment allowing you a fixed number of hours during an agreed time frame.
We’re flexible and will work out an arrangement that best suits your business needs.
CMS Upgrades and Website Security
We take the security of your website seriously and will make sure that at the time of going live your site is utilising the latest software and will have security administration tools installed. We will also have installed a backup component and can store backups for you should you require it and these can be reinstated in the event of a hacked website.
Best practice advice is always to keep your site software up to date and this is something we can undertake for you on an ongoing monthly basis. If you’re not able to commit to regular maintenance, we can also schedule periodic or one-off upgrades of your website software.
